Video and Autonomous Control

Coming Soon...Video controlled robots that can guide themselves down trails.

Forest Robots' Owner Dean Edwards and Principle Investigator John Canning have spent many years working on control systems. They have converted a ASV-30 skid-steer loader (shown below) to autonomous control. To do this, they use a form of computer programming known as Fuzzy Logic. So far, the ASV-30 has navigated down 1500 ft of skid trail without the aid of GPS. More research is being undertaken to create an integrated control system that will incorporate the autonomous programming, along with streaming video and direct operator radio control. Such a control system would be adaptable to many types of vehicles.
