Forest Robots is pleased to present the Logg Dogg, a new tool for loggers, private landowners and others to manage their timber and timber-projects. Smaller vehicles are well-adapted to the forests of the 21st century where smaller-diameter trees and environmental sensitivities allow this equipment to compete on the marketplace with larger products. Small equipment has several downsides for logging, however. Small equipment often lacks the power and durability to handle larger logs. An even larger downside to small equipment is the danger to the operator.

The Logg Dogg solves many of the problems of small machinery. Durability is built in, and the diesel engine and hydraulic controls are designed for heavy-duty logging work. The industrial grade radio-control system makes vehicle easy to use and safer to operate than a traditional small-machine. While robust, the Logg Dogg offers several unique features traditional logging equipment does not. The vehicle is towed by a pickup, allowing an operator to get in and out of a site rapidly. Its small size also makes it appealing to landowners that want equipment to manage their land but do not want the size or disturbance of traditional equipment.
